AMMONIA LEAK DETECTORS

MODEL LBW-WATCHMAN

The LBW-WATCHMAN Ammonia Leak Detector from Cool Air Incorporated has all the features you need to protect your personnel and product. The LBW-WATCHMAN comes with either the solid state  or electrochemical sensor.

The front panel display indicates ammonia concentration in parts per million (PPM). The detector has a 4-20 mA analog output for PPM that will seamlessly integrate with your existing automation system. To disable the alarms during cleaning, servicing, testing, and/or calibration, the LBW-WATCHMAN has a service mode that temporarily disables the detector’s 4-20 mA signal.

The LBW-WATCHMAN detector is housed in a custom-made safety yellow, NEMA 4X, UL-listed, CSA, IEC, IP66 enclosure with viewing window.

The LBW-WATCHMAN is fully compatible with the Cool Air Inc. Digital Central Supervisory Alarm Panel.

The detector also has a convenient "service mode," which will temporarily disable the detector's alarm relays and the 4-20 mA signal during testing, calibration, or routine maintenance.

MODEL LBW-420

The model LBW-420 ammonia leak detector is easy to use and requires little maintenance. This versatile detector has all the features you need to get the job done safely and is certified to UL 61010-1:2004 R7.05 and CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 61010-1-04

It comes equipped with a built-in ammonia sensor that accurately monitors ammonia concentration in parts per million (ppm) and displays it on the detector with a reading between 0 to 1000 ppm(solid state sensor) or 0 to 500ppm(electrochemical sensor). There are two indicator lights: one for Low Alarm and one for High Alarm.

The LBW-420 detector is housed in a custom-made safety yellow, NEMA 4X, UL-listed, CSA, IEC, IP66 enclosure with viewing window.

The detector also has a convenient "service mode," which will temporarily disable the detector's alarm relays and the 4-20 mA signal during testing, calibration, or routine maintenance.

MODEL LBW-420-LEL

The Cool Air Incorporated LBW-420-LEL Detector is a state-of-the-art ammonia leak detector that detects and displays ammonia concentrations of 0 to 9.9%. It comes equipped with a long-life ammonia sensor that has a quick and accurate response to ammonia concentrations.

The Cool Air Incorporated LBW-420-LEL has a fully isolated DC to DC power supply, allowing the LBW-420-LEL to be powered from the same DC supply as the 4-20 mA monitoring circuits without concern for ground isolation.

The LBW-420-LEL requires a DC supply voltage between 18 and 36 volts DC.

The LBW-420-LEL can be configured to supply power to the 4-20 mA circuit(s) or can operate as a fully isolated 4-20 mA sensor. Refer to 4–20 mA Analog Outputs for more details. 

The Cool Air Incorporated LBW-420-LEL can be optionally equipped with an AC to DC converter to allow operating the detector with 100 to 240VAC input.

MODEL LBW-50

The Cool Air Incorporated LBW-50 is an AC/DC powered state-of-the-art ammonia leak detector that detects and indicates ammonia concentrations of 25 to 800 parts per million (PPM). It comes equipped with a solid-state, long-life ammonia sensor that has a quick and accurate response to ammonia concentrations.

Optionally available with an electrochemical sensor that is highly selective to ammonia.

Outputs are three dry contact relays.

The LBW-50 can be adjusted to set off its early warning (factory set, non-field adjustable) and alarm (field adjustable) relays for an ammonia concentration value of between 25 and 800 ppm (25 and 500ppm for electrochemical sensor). This product does not have a display screen or output a 4-20 mA.

AMMONIA RELIEF LINE VENT GAS DETECTOR

Models LBW-50-RLV, LBW-420-RLV and LBW-Watchman-RLV

The RLV leak detector is specifically designed to monitor the ammonia gas concentration in a relief line vent pipe. It is now available on the LBW-50, LBW-420 and LBW-Watchman. These units have a service mode that allows for testing or calibrating without setting off any external alarms.

The solid-state ammonia sensor for this product is located on the back of the unit. The 2-inch, schedule 80 PVC fitting that the sensor socket is potted into, should be installed using a union supplied with every RLV detector ordered. This will facilitate removing the unit for testing, calibrating, or servicing.

HANDHELD AMMONIA LEAK DETECTOR (MODEL LBW-HHS-II)

The Cool Air Incorporated handheld ammonia leak detector is a versatile tool for performing routine checks in engine rooms, around evaporator coils in processing areas, coolers, or freezers, or in confined areas prior to entry. This unit is designed for easy one-hand operation, contains an internal sampling pump for drawing in the target gas, and uses a flexible wand for pinpointing the source of a leak. The large LCD display allows for the measured values to be easily displayed and, for low-light environments, a back-light insures readability.

The ammonia sensor for this detector is a 'smart sensor'. This type of sensor has all of the logic built into it. So, when calibration is required, only the sensor needs to be calibrated not the entire unit.

MONITORING PANEL

DIGITAL CENTRAL SUPERVISORY ALARM PANEL (DCSAP)

The Digital Central Supervisory Alarm Panel is excellent for monitoring several leak detectors at once. This panel comes in four different configurations to monitor either 8, 16, 24, or 32 independent zones.

The DCSAP has an easy to read, large LED display screen that shows the ppm reading, as well as, the zone or detector it is linked to. Each detector number on the panel has its own early warning and alarm indicator lights, unit label, and a switch that will put that detector into either normal mode or silent mode (during alarms).

In addition to having visual lights for early warning and alarms, the panel also includes a single audible alarm, that will go off if any detector is alarming. The horn can be silenced with either the alarming zone or global switch. Once the ammonia concentration decreases below the alarm setpoints, the horn will sound again until the alarming zone or global switch are put back into the normal mode.
